Goliath Partners is working with a quant shop that has $6B in AUM that is looking for a mid-level back office Software Engineer.
The role will be hybrid (1-2 days on-site a week) and the interview process takes 3 weeks. Something the firm do very well in, is training others and they have stayed at the forefront of mathematics and technology for a number of years whilst tripling in revenue YOY.
Firm is happy to wait around a non-compete.
Role:
Develop trading and research infrastructure.
Contribute to microservice based platform.
(Not a role that relates to Machine Learning/ Data Science, but rather - core Python Engineering & support).
Essential skills:
BS in Comp Sci/ Mathematics/ Physics or similarly related field.
Familiarity with Python development (data structures and algos).
Experience working as a Software Engineer (not solely DS/ML/ QR).
Appreciation of cloud computing (AWS or similar) & infrastructure.
Beneficial skills:
MSCS or similarly related field.
Expertise with Pandas/ FastAPI/ Bottle/ Flask/ Tornado/ Falcon.
Previously worked directly on trading infrastructure.
Mathematical achievements / competitions.
Constant hunger to stay at the forefront of technology.
Compensation:
Our client is looking at a base of $130,000-180,000 for this with a written in bonus that brings it up to total compensation for the year of $275,000-365,000.
