Senior Full Stack Engineer

Our client is a fast-growing technology organization developing a modern platform spanning fintech, payments, and digital consumer experiences. As the company continues to scale, its engineering teams are building the core services, infrastructure, and product systems required to support a growing customer base and increasing transaction volumes.

As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing and scaling the company’s core technology, with a strong emphasis on backend engineering. You’ll build APIs, services, integrations, and data-driven systems while also working across the frontend when projects call for full-stack ownership.

This position is well suited for an experienced engineer who enjoys broad technical ownership and solving complex problems from architecture through production. You’ll collaborate with engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, and product, influence technical decisions, and help evolve systems designed for reliability, scale, and long-term growth.

You’ll have the opportunity to work directly on production technology with meaningful business impact, owning projects from early technical planning and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain highly scalable backend services and APIs supporting core product and transactional functionality.
• Own major engineering initiatives from requirements gathering and architectural planning through launch and ongoing maintenance.
• Develop integrations between internal platform services and external APIs, vendors, and third-party systems.
• Contribute to the evolution of backend architecture, service patterns, database structures, and overall system design.
• Work alongside frontend and mobile engineers to deliver cohesive end-to-end product experiences.
• Investigate and resolve technical challenges related to performance, scalability, availability, and system reliability.
• Improve engineering practices around automated testing, observability, monitoring, and production operations.
• Contribute to code reviews, technical design discussions, sprint planning, incident management, and broader engineering efforts.
• Act as a technical lead for backend projects, driving execution while maintaining strong standards around maintainability, reliability, and code quality.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant backend development.
• Strong hands-on experience developing and supporting production systems in Python; Django experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience building REST APIs, designing data models, and developing scalable services with PostgreSQL and AWS.
• Working knowledge of modern frontend technologies, particularly React and TypeScript.
• Experience with distributed systems, cloud-based environments, and highly available production software.
• Proven ability to independently take technical projects from initial concept and design through production.
• Strong architectural instincts with an interest in scalability, reliability, and designing systems for long-term growth.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation

Base Salary: $220,000 – $250,000

Total Compensation: Competitive base salary, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
